Industrial AI, at the point of work.

Sovereign intelligence beside the equipment — not in someone else's cloud.

KODA GENBA (現場) is Kodaitsu's industrial-AI practice: focused intelligence that understands the equipment, the procedure and the site's operating history, and keeps the qualified professional in command of the work. Specialist models run on ordinary industrial CPUs and edge appliances — local where operations demand it, connected only where broader reasoning adds value.

A plausible answer is not an authorised action. Every recommendation is grounded in governed technical evidence, bounded by the operating procedure, and attributable, over-rideable and recorded. The model contributes intelligence; the professional retains authority.

Capabilities.

Edge-first & sovereign

On-site inference means the line does not stop when the network does, and sensitive operating data does not leave the plant by default. No dependence on a single GPU vendor, cloud or accelerator.

Efficient by design (Mixture-of-Experts)

Store broad, activate narrow: MoE-style models hold a great deal of knowledge but compute only the slice each token needs — frontier-style capability at a fraction of the running cost, on hardware you control.

Maintenance, quality & safety

Fault triage and reliability, inspection and non-conformance support, and a Safety Guardian that enforces procedures and permits-to-work independently of any generated answer. A confident answer never overrides a safety boundary.

Governed technical evidence

Equipment, site, operational, maintenance, quality and regulatory knowledge live in provenance-controlled evidence — not inside model weights. The answer is never more authoritative than its source.

Documentation & shift continuity

Project and equipment knowledge at the point of use, with traceable citation; structured handover that preserves equipment state, deviations and safety concerns across shifts.

Bounded access, human authority

Every capability is granted an explicit access level — read-only, drafting, confirmed action, guardrailed automation. Capability does not equal permission. Escalation is a deliberate, governed decision.

Use cases.

  • Discrete & process manufacturing — maintenance co-pilots, quality/inspection support, edge continuity
  • Energy, infrastructure & utilities — procedure support, work permits, anomaly interpretation that survives network disruption
  • Construction & EPC — technical documentation, inspection procedures, multilingual site support
  • Field service & remote operations — local retrieval, specialist preparation, remote-engineer summaries, recorded outcomes
